Congratulations to Margaret Morgan MBE who was awarded the Birt Spooner Cup by HRH Princess Anne!

I'm sure everyone will agree that Margaret's service has certainly been outstanding: transformative, dedicated and tireless.



Border Group and Berwickshire made an appearance at Musselburgh Racecourse at the weekend to support a charity event run by Rhona Elliot for 3 great charities MS, RDA and the Injured Jockeys.

Berwickshire horse Torfy, accompanied by Rebecca Hewit,  was the mount of this years Grand National winning Jockey Derek Fox and Domino from the Border Group was accompanied by Susie Elliot and ridden by Jane Currie. The Walk/Ride event ran over four days finishing at Kelso Races on Tuesday 19th September.

The Border Group had a very Successful trip down to the
RDA National Championships at Hartpury in July.

With their little black horse Domino both Jane & Margaret won their dressage with Margaret also winning 3rd in the Grade One Freestyle and 3rd in the Best Turned Out.

Exciting New Partnership

RDA becomes an Approved Activity Provider for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award

We're pleased to announce that RDA has partnered with the Duke of Edinburgh's Award to become and Approved Activity Provider for the Volunteering Section of the Award. This means individuals looking to complete their award can approach an RDA group confident that their volunteering opportunity will count towards the award and be of a good quality.

What is the Duke of Edinburgh's Award?

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is a national Award Scheme designed to enable young people to develop new skills, promote self-confidence and to expand their horizons.  It has been going for almost 60 years and key aspect of the award is getting involved as a volunteer with a charity or community organisation. To achieve this section, many young people choose to become an RDA Volunteer.
